  • Wait time?

I placed a custom order back in June. Any ideas where they are in terms of wait time right now? I was originally told 6 months, but I assumed it would be longer

What dealer did you place your Custom Order with? It would not take that long. We are currently looking at 4-6 months from the moment the final sheet is submitted from your Dealer. I would check with the dealer to make sure it was submitted and the specifications were verified.

That's not true. I have been waiting over 12 months for my custom order. The guitar is a single hum w/floyd with a 3 piece maple neck. The graphic and painted headstock is not a difficult graphic to paint - black and white zebra. I was told August, then September, October .....etc. I'm now told that the guitar should be ready by the end of this month. I'm skeptical as it is the 23rd and I have yet to see a progress pic of the painted guitar body. Maybe you can enlighten me on what happened here. I placed mine with the Music Zoo. If you want additional info, please PM me.

Dimartinis are more like Jackson USA Select guitars, made in production batches. Custom shop ordering rules (and wait times) are different altogether.

Although custom shop wait times have improved, I suspect a year or so is still not out of the ordinary. I'm also waiting on a custom shop Jackson order since June, so I'm not surprised by the original poster's wait. It is what it is. ...Besides, I'd rather they build it right, than build it quick.

I have checked on the progress of your build. You will receive an update from The Music Zoo shortly and you should be given a ETA. The guitar was finished, however there were issues with the artwork.

I should have said...4-6 months is the "typical" delivery time... that's if we don't have problems!! I apologize for the long wait, but we DO want to make sure the guitar is done correctly and we want it to be special when you open that case!

Bionic - I have spoken to Music Zoo several times and they had told me the Charvel has not provided any information regarding the ETA of the guitar. ?????
