Got my Sea Sick SD-1 - Sharp Fret edges!?

I set up the guitar and strung it with the 10's I am used to, and the neck is the same shape as the blue guitar. Except for the sharp frets, the guitar sounds great. My wife says the Sea Sick Green is "silly and a girls color"!
A) What does she know about vintage Strat colors
B) Keep the Blue guitar, sell the "girls" guitar?'09 Charvel San Dimas USA

should be that way, it's for comfort and looks sharp if you ask me it's attention to detail.
even the cheap ibanez i'm sitting with right now the binding is beveled like that too, but somewhat more round, i look for this in my guitars.
My RR1 is actually unique in that my other one was sharp edged along the neck, this one the binding is kinda angled inwards somewhat like so /------\, especially down in the first position area - probably actually a mistake, but anyway it's more comfortable than any other i've played.

Sure, rolled fingerboard/binding is great, but not like that. That bevel is huge... I haven't ever seen anything like that on a production guitar, but I don't look at Ibanez guitars so... :dunno:
My Charvels have had the outer edge of the binding filed between the frets. My Jacksons are the same way. They did not just run the beveling file down into the binding, they hand-rolled it with a small file.

As far as the rolling binding goes, it's done a bunch of different ways by different manufacturers. I'm biased and like Jackson's method (between the nibs), while Gibson usually will bevel the nibs as well. Either way, it's a super fast process and usually done with a couple swipes of a razor blade.
I got a neat tip from an amazing luthier named Roman Rist (he worked with Peter "Max" Baranet) who will roll the edges with a shaft of a chromed screwdriver. It compresses the edges and feels awesome.
I guess my overall point is that there's a bunch of different ways to do something, and clearly, there's all kindsa different tastes.
