It's not any coincidence that BC Rich has introduced reissue Gunslingers and ST-IIIs, or that Kramer had good success with reissue Pacers and Barettas. That style of hotrod Strat is back in fashion, and FMIC seems to be doing pretty well with the Charvels.

I'm 17, I'd LOVE to see Charvel reissue their '80s catalogue.

Pointy headstock, NON-recessed floyd, all models available in WHITE with black hardware... count me in!

And, yes, maple fretboards popularity is on a huge increase. Jackson's DK2M is the best selling import, obviously due to the maple.

        Here's my guess:

Real production models instead of batches with canned colors and graphics. Strats and maybe Stars. Each year we may get a new color or graphic. It's the next logical thing to do. Expect to see Zebra and Rising Sun ala the last teaser video.

Just a guess or maybe a suggestion? Charvel 7-string in Hardtail and Floyd Rose version with the Strat head.

I think that would be about as popular as a 4 wheel ATV with an extra wheel on it. just my opinion though.

I can tell you now, that is NOT going to happen!

The 4-wheel ATV already has an extra wheel on it.

1988 Charvel Model 5A import, been done, too Jacksonesque with the Soloist style body.

I still think standard production models are coming. This way FMIC can get Charvels into Guitar Center and Musicians Friend and sell tons more. Right now all the batches are through smaller dealers.

Not me. Looks like its starving. Give that Dinky some food so it can grow up into a real Strat.

Why would they bring back pointy's now? They just went through the last few years creating a brand with the strathead stock and setting it apart from Jackson. Don't see the pointy thing happening.

The batches are real production models with that made the line interesting. Why go to just one color? Getting a new color each year would be pretty lame at this point. I think you will see more options but it will interesting to see how they pull it off. Maybe it will be a 'create your own' from a list of choices. Not a true custom shop one off but where they have a stock of items that just need to be assembled.

I agree that it would seem odd to bring back pointy headstocks. Differentiating with the original Strat head type as they've been doing makes more sense. And if I recall, wasn't there a lineup of pointy-head Strats from '04 or '05; I don't see many around so I presume they didn't light the world on fire.

Charvel's got a good thing going with these current models, but I think maybe they were running out of limited colors without getting close to repeating themselves? So in anycase, it will be interesting to see what they choose to do.

While I don't like the white dinky above, I'd at least like the option of getting the dinky body shape without going the custom shop route. I'd love a dinky strat head with two hums and a vintage trem... and keep it priced the same as the current production models.
