Same here! I haven't owned a single-hum guitar in a long time or really cared about one, but now I've changed my mind. I've actually been thinking of ordering a Carvin 7-string with just one hum. I haven't owned a guitar with a Floyd in awhile either, and this new Charvel may be just the ticket; though, I still hate the truss rod adjustment at the heel...

Since its 1 hum, there's plenty of room to stick a screw driver in there - just route out a little divit in front of the truss rod nut and you're golden.

Quartersawn necks don't move much at all, anyway. And with a Floyd, all you gotta do is pop the springs off and unscrew the neck, give it a little tweak and when you're done bolting the neck back on and putting the three springs, back... it will still be in tune.

When I think metal, these aren't color choices that leap to mind. Batch 8 seems to be back on message.
You might think those guitars are piled high on shelves in the warehouse at Charvel. Batch 6 is sold out completely. Batch 7 is sold out completely.

This next paragraph isn't necessarily aimed at Grawnday but at the JCF and the entire run of Production series guitars that has been second guessed and complained about since day 1, batch 1 here. Heck I've done it too at times, but I own a soldering iron and a screwdriver and now I have three very cool Pro Mods.

Maybe, just maybe, Charvel and Bionic Mike know what they are doing since they like, you know, design, build and sell guitars and stuff. And maybe, just maybe, the complaining hordes at the JCF definitely know what they themselves would buy, but maybe not another 499 people per quarter. Charvel knows what will sell as almost every single model in this Production series is totally sold out at Charvel.

That's definitely not it. We all know that people that look in from the outside know better than people in those positions. Where the hell have you been? I can understand if you had said that statement before the Internet came when everyone can second guess and arm chair quarterback everything and anything.

Dude, wake up in the 21st Century.

I REFUSE to get myself involved in this internet fad. My messages on this forum are actually sent from me by carrier pigeon to a location where a sorcerer of some sort uses a box with letters on it to send it into the demonspawn machine with pictures on it.

The listed features above are the reason I bought a Charvel in the first place! You want them to change the neck back shape? Why? What's wrong with no binding? The frets are awesome, I have no problem with the tuners.

To each his own I guess.

He wants a DK1 with a 1-3/4 nut and a Charvel logo on it.

LOL, and lot's of guys want ESP's or Ibanez's with strat heads and Charvel logos on them too. These Charvels are Charvels. I want Charvel to build Charvels.

What's next? Is Porsche going to start building SUV's and 4-door sedans? Oops, ok bad example.

Yeah, that "other" FMIC brand that starts with a "J" has a lot of those new-fangled features he wants... What other guitar has a non-recessed Floyd with an angled pocket? Personally, I love that.

I actually (again) took a Custom Shop neck off of one of my Reno's Customs and put it on a Pro Mod body. I still have the white one which is stock, and it's great, too. But there is just something cool about the Frankensteined one with that angled pocked/non-recessed tremolo.

For the record, I really like the Seasick. I will eventually have one. Daphne blue and surf green are some of my favorite colors for strats, but I don't want a Fender.

My point was that I expect people to say things like " That color ain't metal " , " light blue is for pussies" , "pink is for fags" , and "woodgrain finish ? well, maybe if I was a country band"

And some would. Enough to make that particular color sell poorly? I don't know, but I had my suspicions.

Please note the quotation marks in the second paragraph. Not my actual opinions.
