    what the f**k?!?!
ive just for the first time seen a proper close up of the hardware on these promods

    are they all like that?
thats looks just like cheap garbage... the floyd im talking about mainly.. i thought they would have been almost identical to the german floyds, i didnt realize they would look so terrible and cheap. the proportions seem way off too, like the collar on the arm, i bet that doesnt screw on & off as smooth as it should, or lock into place if you want it to?
i'd even go as far as saying that just by looking at that thing, i'd prefer it to have a JT-6!
guess i'm just gonna have to buy a new floyd..
infact, those brand new floyd rose units you can buy... please tell me they are not the same as the ones on the charvels?

Why so upset? Is someone forcing you to buy one?

why don't you go read some of the reviews on here from people that actually own the guitars, rather than going on a tear over a picture on an ebay auction? Without even trying one for yourself (since you've stated that this is the first time you've actually seen one) you've been able to determine that the Floyd will need immediate replacement, all based on one photo on ebay. And from this lone pic you can also tell that the arm won't screw on or lock into place? How do you figure?
    Hail yesterday

      +1.

      Cry me a river.

If these guitars are such shit, then why are they still selling so good, and why are they still re-selling so good?

why so upset? because it means i have to spend another £100+ on a real floyd
i have read reviews... and i cant play one first cause no stores here sell em, i'd have to order one.
and this isnt the first time ive seen a promod. i said it was first time ive seen the hardware up that close.
yes. "the floyd will need immediate replacement" FOR MY NEEDS. which you have no say over. i can just tell by looking at it, that i wont agree with it, if im wrong so what, im buying the guitar either way. and it aint based on 1 photo. i posted 1 photo, but i looked at alot.
i figure that the arm wont lock properly for long, because ive owned simila looking trems made out of that cheaper metal, and they usually wear away.

why did you get so offended at my post anyway? if anything you are "going on a tear"

where did i say the guitars were shit? i was questioning the quality of the floyd rose, not the guitar
why bother replying if your just gong to make up what i said in the first place...
            man up.

The MIK Floyd on the ProMods is just as good IMO as the MIG Floyd. Sounds good, looks good, wears good. The only issue I've had with the one's I use is the bar and collar assembly, which is a $14 fix to pick up a German unit - which may or may not have the same wobble issues - I've had plenty of issues with MIG Floyds and MIG Floyd parts.

Here's a great thread done by Your's Truly comparing the MIG and MIK Floyds side by side:

Just buy a Custom Shop guitar. The Pro Mod cannot possibly meet your needs, as you are obviously a man of discriminating taste and style.

I'm looking at the photo of the bridge and I'm confused. Why are you so upset? The bridge is made to Floyd Rose specs, just in Korea instead of Germany.

Wow...chill pill in order here. The MIK Floyd is just fine. If you can't make it work, it seems that it would be YOUR problem, and not the trem. I have had 5 of the new Charvels, and every one of the trems worked flawlessly - just as well as the one on my Demartini.

so your saying they are exactly the same except for where they are made?
                          i think not.

i havnt used it. but im pretty sure that if i did use it..and it didnt work, it would be the trem NOT me.
but come on seriously... even little things like look at that picture, the writing "floyd rose" just looks like its been pressed into the metal as if the metal is soft
screw it, as far as im concerned thread over, cause nobody reads what i write properly anyway.. sometimes i dont know why i bother with jcf..
