I have a couple of these pointys and they are great guitars! As far as finding one online, how about a red ghost flames, 2 hum, pointy? I found this one on E-Bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Looks pretty damn nice to me!

Back on topic. As much as I like a Strat headstock on a Charvel, I like the pointy headstock even more. For me, it makes a Charvel look like a Charvel. My first Charvel ('85 SD Strat w/V Trem) was a pointy so that's what I was raised on. I can't speak for things like differences in neck profiles because I haven't played a Pro Mod but then again, I am not that particular about neck profiles. As long as the nut width is 1 11/16", I'm good to go.

checked jcguitars, was one of the first i did check, they do have 1 or 2 or interest, mainly the silver/grey bodied one with floyd, single hum, and maple board. TASTY!! $2000 though : ( theres a v trem ferrari red one with a rosewood board in H/S on the bay right now for about £600

nice guitar, i can settle for something that isnt exactly how i'd like it, but thats a bit too far off for me, not into the flame thing really either.
good find though, hadnt spotted that

I love stratheads but those pointies have a faster, smoother neck,i like'em better. Anyway both are cool, what you pay is what you get.

This is from '85 USA made #5264

damn you dee! you're from kramerforum right?
that is one fucking sweet axe! but i think earlier san dimas pointys are out of the question for me, i can barely afford one of the 2005s!
hopefully i'll have a nice healthier chunk of money towards a 2005 when i sell my kramer baretta :/

You're right bro You should try on of those buddy, even a '05 one,i'm sure that they're dead on to the vintage ones.
I'd hit one myself i just need one with a Floyd you know.

loving the hollowflash on that kramer!
i have my eye on a single hum 2005 with a floyd, $2000 though! gonna take me a little while to save for it, selling one of my charvels and my kramer baretta to get money towards it, cant wait to get it though!

just checked it out, pretty ok, not overly keen on the colour, but if it had a floyd i'd have gone for it
although for the money saved on what i wanted from jcguitars, i could buy an OFR and have it fitted, its a tricky one
im gonna decide once ive sold my guitars and when ive got the money ready : )
