I have a Vintage (1978) x2n / humbucker from hell in my seasick SD. That guitar also has chrome hardware to include a German OFR.

I have EMG 81/85 in my Tangerine Socal

I have a SD2 purple Tele stock with the JB/59

    Killer!

May replace them with Bareknuckles eventually, but right now i'm lovin the vintage 80s vibe.

Worth noting the Super D is from 1974 (Installed in my 1979 strat before it was swapped for a bare knuckle holy diver)

The vintage DiMarzios I find are amazing! I've tried a new Super Distortion and I like the old one much better. It is alot hotter too! If you put it in the bridge of a strat and change from the single coils to the SD you practically get blown across the room.
        I like EL34s.

Is everyone sticking with F-space/Trembucker bridge pickups, or are 'standard' spaced pups working just as well for you?

I've got both. I don't notice any benefit other than cosmetics on the "F" or "Trembucker" spacing.

My Tangerine So-Cal has the stock Dimarzios, my Blue Flames Charvel has the stock Duncans, and my San Dimas Style 1 got a Mike Learn custom graphic so we added painted pickup covers and I swapped out the bridge pickup for Bare Knuckles Painkiller which is regular spaced btw. I'm liking the pickups in all of them!

I have a standard-spaced Customs (SH-5) and trembucker-spaced Customs (TB-5) and they both sound great. I will go for the F-spaced/Trembucker if I can get them but, if I can't, it's no big deal.

I may take the Evo neck pickup out of my SoCal and put in an Air Classic, I like those a lot.

BTW, I swapped the stock CTS pot for a new Dimarzio/CTS pot. The new Dimarzio/CTS pots turn MUCH easier than the stock CTS pot due to a couple minor construction changes, plus the taper is better.

The difficulty turning is a "feature."

If you like the easier-to-turn ones, then the solid-shaft CTS 500K's that allparts.com sells are for you.

If you like the more difficult-to-turn ones, then specialtyguitars.com has those.

What graphic did you get? I got a Pro Mod Style 1 that I want to get a graphic on. Just curious as to what you got, looking for some ideas, lol.

Thanks for the F-spaced vs. normal input. I never had problems with a standard-spaced on a Floyd guitar, but a lot of people swear there's a huge difference.

I have been considering a FRED for my guitar, lately. I'm in a 3-piece instrumental band, I think that pup might fatten things up a bit more. We do stuff like Jeff Beck's Led Boots and some older originals. I am copping keyboard parts in a lot of the tunes as well as adding solos and holding down the guitar chording end of things.

We haven't recorded anything yet, but hopefully that will change soon. It's been slow going, since we are all juggling families and careers, but it is coming together. It was really hard to find a couple of guys that just wanted to play 'for fun.' The odds were astronomical that I was able to find a bass player and drummer in the area that fit that goal. We would like to be a 4 or 5 piece, with a keyboard player and a singer (or someone that does both) but we have had zero luck. Seems like everyone is looking for an established band with paying gigs, a recording contract, three gold records, etc., etc...

I assure you that as soon as we do have something, I'll be posting clips everywhere.
