    Back for More!

I asked him to tell me how he was shipping it so that I could head off a situation like this...why in the world would someone send something like this PARCEL POST!?!?! Pony express would be faster, and I'm MORE than concerned about it getting here in one piece, but anyway, it's on the way. I'll post real pics at the end of the summer from The Scene of the Crime! Stoked...the last of the series that I wanted!!

It'll have all chrome hardware on it (cool), and the pickup is a "reliced" RTM from the Duncan custom shop. Evidently the early ones didn't always ship with them.

Neat. I've always preferred black hardware, but the chrome is cool, too. The Blood Drip Skull is my favorite, followed by the Bomber.

To save $ on shipping. My client in NY asked for Parcel Post once, it was only $29 and took about 7 days.

IIRC, chrome would be more "correct" for a Dimartini, anyway. Nice grab.

Parcel post hasn't been too bad for me, I think some of what we think is travel time is the seller not getting to the post office. I did however have one guitar get lost for 30 days under pp(showed up damaged too-Need to wrap a guitar in more than just foam).

Yep. WDM's Crossed Swords & Bomber had the chrome and brass, where the Blood & Skull had black. I may go chrome on the CS too...we'll see.

Ron, yeah, I know. But I'm a little miffed that someone would send a $2500 guitar on the slow boat, and I had asked him to confirm how he had planned to ship prior to doing so. This guy had problems answering any questions I asked, so I'm a bit nervous & annoyed about how everything went so far. Keeping my fingers crossed... I told him he better wait to spend the money until I let him know that it arrived safely. I'm not counting on anything with this until I have it safely in my hands. I've got no season to believe there will be problems, but it just wasn't the best transaction I've had in my life. If it's as good as he described it though, it will have been worth it. I got a great price on it IMO.

Yeah, saving a few bucks on a guitar you just sold for $2500 is bullshit. He should have sent it UPS to get it to you in 3 or 4 days for like $40.

I didn't pay $2500, but yeah, it's silly to send a guitar of that value that way. The real issue is that when you pay more than a grand for a guitar, shipping it that way is just DUMB. I would have gladly paid an extra $50 to ship it a better/quicker way, but I never had the opportunity to offer to! But back to your point, saving a few bucks shipping high end guitars is just asking for problems.

Agree with that, Chris! Generally, I use Parcel Post on guitars less than $300. The higher in value, the less time you want your axe "hanging out" anywhere. When it gets over $1000, I'm looking for 1 or 2 day service.

Congrats on a great guitar! Very cool that it comes with the chrome floyd (like it should have from the factory).
