Guitar arrived today - nothing short of a miracle it was okay. He made sure to wrap it tightly in one layer of cardboard. No other padding to speak of, in or out. The case could not slide out of the box; it had to be extricated. The metal edges of the case on the end the body resides in were BENT. I guess the case did it's job.

Anyway, I got it home, and the neck was a bit back-bowed, and one neck screw was stripped. Awesome. No big deal though. Tore it apart, put the silver tuning machines on it, put it back together, re-strung it, and...THE DAMN THING PLAYS AND SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE OTHER TWO!! Go figure. The neck was nicely broken in, and feels better than the others as well - I guess they did something kinda special to the earlier ones. Or it's mojo - who knows? Too late for pics, but I'll throw some up soon.

I think I need to just play the shit out of the other two and not clean them for a bit. I need to give them that "lived in" feeling.

Sooo stoked now. I can stop looking for a while!!
