Horns of a dilema

I wanted one of the Polar White pro mods BAD when they came out. Alas, my attempts at procuring one failed miserably when the shop I do business with failed on their promise to get one in.

But, I found one, and I can get it for a great deal, and it is virtually brand new. Great deal being several hundred less than a Japanese mod.

My problem is that I really want to start building guitars, and if I buy this Polar White SD1, then I am not going to be able to buy my tools for the shop for a while.

You probably have a few guitars you can play for now. Why dont you buy the tools you need and make a guitar even sicker than the white pro mod!

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree (respectfully, of course) with the other posts....I was trying just like you, to find a polor white so cal...after they announced the move to Japan. I failed...big time. My local shop did have one for a little while...I just didn't get it in time...silly me. I don't know man...I'm thinkin these are going to only get harder to find as time goes on.
Hell with the tools...tools will always be there....this guitar won't be...especially at the price you're specifying.

Of the 5 SD's I owned, that was my favorite too. It was also the best player of the bunch. A friend owns it now and it gets gigged REGULARLY.

it plays like a dream. I was a little concerned about the neck profile when I played the pro mods in the shop. But this neck feels so good. Love the unfinished back.
