2005 charvel custom pointy hss nos bridge pick up height

i just got a beutiful 2005 hss but i hate that center pick up height and the neck one to ,my pick hits them and they dont seem to be able to be lowered ! of course i dont want to remove them ,does any one have this problem with center pickup height ? any suggestions of a slimmer pickup that fits correctly in place of my seymor duncan singles ???
