Back in 92 I bought a Charvel from a local pawn shop. It was painted like Eddie Van Halen's guitar, which I wasnt a fan of. I bought the guitar for $172 as a project. I sanded it all down and later ended up letting a friend have the body. Back then I didnt know the difference between a USA or Japan made guitar.
Fast forward to few years back and I discovered how much better the USA made guitars were and that they were worth much more.
All I have left of the guitar is the neck and hardware. I dont remember the pickup config and was wondering if anyone knew the config on the old EVH Charvels? This Charvel doesnt have the strat style headstock. It has the traditional pointed headstock.
The serial is 3178 and the plate looks to be gold plated and the background painted black and has the San Dimas address.
Ideally I would like to find another body and reassemble it.
One other question: What would one of these guitars go for on today's market. Its condition was prolly 8 out of 10 when I got it.
I just want to know so I can kick myself again.
