(I preach their merits rather frequently around here. I agree, the VHII is incredible. But so is the black dog...)

Mahogany body, ______ neck, Two Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs and a string-through, any finish (Burst?)

The string-through bridge with a fat, warm pickup like a PAF is a great combination, but maybe go with a hotter bridge pickup? I've got a Japanese King V bolt-on with a string-through and a Duncan JB in the bridge, and it sounds massive!
