Come on guys, doesn't the neck plate say "Grover Jackson" on it? But seriously, these would have been better with just a solid finish... and 22 frets.

any precedent for that? Put them in the vault and bring them back out 20 years from now like Disney?

21 frets + vintage trem combined with a 'heavy metal' paintjob = very very tough sell I gotta say I expect to see these way cheaper. Either that or FMIC will take them back...

As much as i like the finishes and the whole idea behind the Legacy series, there really is no logical reason to pay a $1k+ for what is essentially just a San Dimas with one pickup, a shitty v-trem and a little paint thrown at it.

actually it will be interesting to see what it takes to move that pile of white elephants. I am betting Grand turk is right about howard johnson's being right, and they need to dump the price to $999 to get any action on them.

The only one I would consider in that batch is the 2H candy cane, and even that if it went down to 999.

I wish them good luck anyway, they've got 40 legacy guitars stuck there at 1499 each, it won't be easy to get rid of them...

and you fellas are correct, the deal breaker is the old school floyd posts. I would never buy them on that alone. I hate those damn things.

I think its funny how an original Blood Spatter with the same specs as these MZ ones will EASILY bring in a bunch of coin. BUT.....that is only for a few select buyers ...maybe 250 tops, worldwide...we know who they are..the old school Charvel collectors.

Here comes some deep pocketed music store owners thinking "OH HELL YEAH, we've seen these Blood spatter Charvels with Vtrems going for OVER 3k!!! USED!!! on Ebay...we are gonna make so much on these!!"

Whoops ...that boat sailed about 8 years ago, when the strathead Charvels were few and far between. If they had managed to pull this run off then, and sold them @ 1500 I am willing to bet they would have sold MORE than their fair share. Now however, they are just store decorations.

Only 21 frets, Old style trem posts and just boring splatter paint. Id be hesitant at $1000

    Here's a linky.

A few years ago we had Charvel crank out some San Dimas guitars in a matte black finish and they came out awesome.  That batch quickly sold out, and then we had a sad because they were gone.  Now we are happy again.  These Custom Shop Charvels have an Alder body, hum/single pickup configuration, and a choice of Maple,
