Got it back!

I rather impulsively sold this to a friend last fall after a GAS attack. He had been bugging me about it endlessly since the day I got it.

Fast forward 6 months, he has asked me on & off if I wanted it back, but I had other financial things I was concerned about. He asked me again last weekend. Told him I still couldn't afford what he was asking, even though it was a great price.

Him: "Got anything to trade?"
Me: "Not really, unless you want a new Japanese San Dimas & some cash."
Him: "What color?"
Me: "Snow white - like the USA I sold you last year. Plays great. Neck is arguably as nice as the USA's, and the fretwork is a little nicer..."
Him: "You know I like white - great on stage..."
Me: "Be back in a half hour!!"

Not a "sucker" move. He had it longer than I did, and it was a trade + cash, so he did fine. This guy has a virtual museum of really kickass gear, so by giving this back to me, and having a good "beater" for gigging, he did fine. If I could tell you what he bought last week in terms of amps, your jaw would drop. He has more cool gear than most stores, and most of it is in the 80's vibe/mindset.

He didn't lose out, on the contrary, he gave me a very good deal, and got a GREAT guitar back to soomeone who never should have sold it in the first place. Besides that, I told him if he was even THINKING about selling it, I had first right of refusal, and I refused it 3 times before I bought it.

It's what friends do for friends.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments all! It's great to have the family back together! Wish there was a Frenchie in there too...maybe some day.

The Crossed Swords is in desperate need of a "chrome-over". Once I've recovered financially from a couple other things I have going on, I might do that. Make it a bit more true to the real deal.
