USA Pro Mod neck sanding question

Hi guys, I've been going back & forth for the last month or so between one of my USA Charvel production models & my old 89' Ibanez 560 & I was wondering, if I decieded to thin out the neck on one of my Charvels how thin could I go? Could I take it down to the realm of Wizard thin?

I wouldn't do it. The skunk stripe is thin and softer wood than the maple and has been known to come out.
