  • Want to see a cool Charvel???

    blackhawk_sm.jpg

The guitar on the left is my newest Charvel custom. It has taken quite a while for it to be completed, but I must say, "DAMN, I'm glad to have it!!!"

    Some deets:
Artwork done by Mike Learn (who I must say was not only an excellent artist - you've all seen his other work, ie. the guitar on the right - but he was a very patient man throughout the whole process)

The motif is the Chicago Blackhawks sweater. On the back is my name and number.

    Body: Alder
Pickup: Seymour Duncan JB - red/black zebra
    Neck: Maple
Fretboard: Maple with Red dot inlays and Chicago Blackhawks 2nd logo at the 12th fret
    Bridge: Original Floyd Rose

Other feature: The logo is color-matching to the body.

More detailed pictures to come. I'm sure you understand, I'm going to be busy for a little while.

Awesome! I saw a progress pic of this guitar and wondered who it was for.

      Congrats.

        Congrats, nice one!

Say, that one on the right looks a bit similar to a Jackson Soloist from a Scott Ian.

I had no idea you played for the blackhawks.

Nice one! Great idea for the Hawks jersey. How long was the wait?

Thats pretty cool looking. I have a University of Utah one that ulijdavid did for me a couple years back. Anyone else have sports themed guitars? I love that handprint one, too!

Quite a while, but I made things worse by changing the design when the Blackhawks won the Cup. (yes, it's been that long) Long story short, the NHL was dragging their feet on approval of the final design, so I went back to the Name/Number motif.

hey, I know a guy on Facebook who has just received one just like it!

nice little shrine you've got going there. Burn much incense to the Charvel gods?

Now you just need to join a Chicago tribute band. Or not.

As a big NHL fan I love it.

Cool guitar. Not a fan of the team ( booo-hiss! ) but a good hockey tribute gets a thumbs up regardless.

Looks killer, man! Good call on the fretboard change to maple; IMO, it goes better with the scheme and gives a nod to a hockey stick.
