      looks great so far, one of those pointy chandler necks would be perfect on that body, Dimarzio body's were 2 3/16" heal

        Very cool score CO-man. And the grain is cool. Think a transparent finish WILL work.
        Curious as to what you used to get the paint off. Was it a 'chemical' stripper? If chemical, how would that be done without melting the binding or the binding's glue?

          heatgun and sander, and i have a dimarzio neck from another project along with an original charvel trem and the original brass dimarzio neckplate. It is a maple strathead dimarzio

            pete i used a bit of stripper right off on the first spot till i saw the binding then i went to the heatgun. It didnt melt it or make it soft anywhere that i can tell. i sanded quite a bit off to resquare up the body as well.

            ill get a wet pic when i get a chance been busy with the new kiddo
