My absolute dream guitar with 24 frets though. Great story and cool piece of history, play the sh@t out of that thing! That guitar is not beat up, it is perfect, it is just getting started IMO. Cheers!

Curious that this thread has had literally hundreds of views with no comments... I just chose to publish these pictures rather than keep them private for another two years, no watermarks I just don't care anymore, just a lot of weirdness going on.

Emerald, I just want to say thank you for sharing your pics, and your story. What an amazing opportunity to spend time with such a historic piece, but moreover what it meant to you. Just a cool thing."I have so much gayness at times. My wife walks in my music room, and there I am, in my undies, listening to "Sister Christian" while lighting fireworks..doin' blow." - Bill Z
"I leave off the back plate and pinch my forskin between the tension springs. That may not work for everyone. But I find that the people love it. Half the tone is in the pud." - Bill Z

If you click on these links using the magnifying glass in the lower left corner and then multiple click on the pics themselves you will have the largest resolution. Seriously I documented the hell out of this rarest of the rare Charvels.
I have very detailed notes, ect.
Please enjoy the pictures full size. BTW I checked Google Images under Steve Stevens Glow Charvel and at least 5 or 6 of the pics have made it there already. Actually two of my other guitars are up there as well.
Great the more the merrier, I have just as good pictures as FMIC did with their Blackie and Franky's, ever nick and chip has been captured so a dead on replica could appear if one so desired to do so:think:!!!

Again thanks for the incredible amount of views and the 4 star rating. I debated for some time whether I should just post these pictures after so many years and un-water marked as well, but I have always been a sharer and I would like to think that old #4790 may well the the most well documented example of it's era.
It was a very cool and a very sad time of my life when I had her so I prefer to remember the good times. There definitely is something incredible about the neck something Steve himself looked for again for many years and came close but after handling the guitar myself I can say it is very special both the profile and thickness are unlike any other Charvel I have played.
The Washburn SS80 and SS100 necks come very close, in fact closer than anything else, but that certain mojo that the Charvel possesses make it unique. John Suhr who worked on the guitar many times back in the day when he was at Rudy's Music Stop with Pensa , offered to have the neck profile digitized, but I had to decline as this would have violated the trust I had with SS and that's why I didn't take off the neck, ect.
It would be great to have some input from the Charvel experts here as the back of the neck behind the headstock has a curve or lack of that is unlike many other Charvel necks I have seen.
Can anyone comment on this. I certainly have the pictures for comparison use.
It was sad to send her back, back to the storage facility but hopefully one day he will break her out again.
Again this was the most awesome Charvel I have ever played..fullstop.
Thanks for all the interest and enjoy as we celebrate Charvel's golden years,

I own a full body glow in the dark. It looks great in person, but it is fairly difficult to get good unedited pictures of it glowing. I've had it since the mid 80's, and I think I only have one good picture.
Of course, I emphasis the word 'good', and I am willing to admit that my camera skills are lacking.
