If he wasn't an endorser and Jackson/Charvel didn't make them specifically for him, what right does he have to dictate any policy to Jackson/Charvel? I bought a burger from McDonalds yesterday with my own money, I don't think I can or should tell them not to make anymore like it. Ridiculous!!!

Looks like a typical strat body outline with minor pickup and knob variations. There are many sellers of Glow in the dark paint.

I know what you're saying , i'm just saying i think it's cool that he is not into cashing in on them, if that is
his reason for not wanting to replicate them. anyway,

is it a one volume and one tone knob setup on there, or are they both volume knobs so you can
pull off the old toggle switch popping trick/ or effect whatever you want to call it?

I got a real weird vibe from Adam Brenner when I met him back in the day. (Could have been drugs I dunno.) Did Steve work with him much?

I love Gary Moore's Charvel when it was white with white pickguard and 1 hum.

I wrote huge long threads about Gary Moore's and Steve Stevens Charvel's on that forum that banned me for life when I asked to be resigned, I don't know if they have been taken down.
Here are some snaps of Gary with mostly the white San Dimas that was built from the originally double-hum routed Charvel with the black pick guard, body colored headstock and chrome hardware other than the R2 nut which was black anodized.
That's why that guitar in it's final configuration sounded so cool. it has the extra neck pickup route so it has moore resonance, ect.


The replica Charvel was built in Japan and I had a Japanese friend of mine research it and it cost like $3K to be built over there. They reproduced the original twin HB routing from the original.
This guitar was used by Gary on his 1986 Run For Cover tour of course 1987's Wild Frontier tour and 1989's After The War. But by 1989 the guitar had a rosewood board Jackson logoed Strat head stock neck fitted. Then the guitar was sold and never heard of again. As was the red Charvel single EMG San Dimas that Gary also used in 1987 only, that one had the rosewood board from the start.
When I have time I will do a piece on the Gary Moore Charvel's and Jackson's, since I can't access all I have written I don't have time right now.

Gary Moore was such a monster. What a beautiful guitar that is, it is quite possibly perfect. I remember reading once in that section of
GFTPM "in the listening room", where they play some various songs and the player being interviewed would give his opinion. actually it was in a regular article interview and Gary did say that you couldn't ask for a better guitar tone than the first two VH albums.
I'm still grief stricken that he's gone, he had some strong hands, awesome vibrato on his bends.

He's been at or near the top of my list since he released the "We Want Moore" live album. The runs he does on Shapes of Things did and still do blow my mind. Plus he is perfect at building and releasing tension in his playing. So many guys that can play fast spend so much time practicing to metronomes that they just don't grab the concept that pushing or lagging the beat literally creates a grasp on the listener and pulls them into the song.

amongst many others that night in tribute to the stratocaster, the most perfectly shaped and comfortable guitar of them all.
He belted out Red House by Jimi. Torched the place.

This is a mega rare clip, as it actually shows Gary's Marshall heads that he was using which were in concert covered by the stage drops, pictured is his awesome 1972 Marshall Super Bass, the keystone of his rock era tone including We Want Moore, with two other 100Watt Super Leads slaved off, he is miming in this clip and using a PRS of which Gary was the first in the UK to import them, though he never recorded or played live concerts with them...

Remember I told you guys earlier Gary's white Charvel San Dimas 'parts guitar', by 1989 the original neck had worn out and was replaced with a Jackson logoed Strat head rosewood board, well it's the same guitar, the last time it was ever seen on Gary's last rock tour until the last in 2010.

Amazing...only Gary could pull this off, this guitar belonged to Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, who probably nicked it, but Gary bought it off him..lol
