Looks good man! I'd even go ahead and change the pickups out to some pink Dimarzios! I'd do an Air Classic in the neck and a Tone Zone in the bridge.

I had too many guitars when I lost a job a few years ago, some had to go, some got to stay. It was all stock except for an EVH Frankenstein pickup in the bridge. It rocked!

Ibanez'ing that Slime green SD is just plain sinful in my opinion. Cream shorts accceptable. Pink is just plain wrong for a guitar of such pedigree.

How do them D tuner things work anyhow I got a SD tele with one on and a trem stop, removed the trem stop nonsense but can't figure how to get shot of the D tuner pain in the ass, as the floyd machine screw is longer. What is the point in these anyway? I mean if you detuned by hand the whole tuning on a floating floyd would be fucked up anyway, or is that the point? - to have a trem stop and tight springs and a constant 'knock knock' whilst your playing? Pointless piece of junk of you ask me.

Man, I'm colour blind but those pink rings look so damn wrong. lol.

Steve vai's ibanez was based off his green meanie charvel... Which was slime green with pink pickups, sometimes blue pickups... His charvel is what made ibanez go that route with the jems

Steve Vai came after the late '70's so he is excluded. So how does the D tuner thing work then, since I had the misfortune to inherit it?

It can easily be removed.. It works well if you have your guitar setup properly. If your in standard pitch you pull out on the chrome piece and your low e become D
