The blue egg one looks sooo good. I love the color of the titanium Floyd Rose on it. How are the titaniums? Have you noticed any difference what so ever? I guess you don't have to worry about wearing it out!
When I picked it up, I notcied right away that it seemed to ring more clearly and loudly acoustically

When I played it through my amp, and ok, this could be placebo effect, but, to be honest I wasn't expecting it would have much tonal effect.

What I'm hearing is the guitar is a tad warmer sounding and I feel like I'm hearing a bit more harmonic content in the distortion. There is definitely more sustain, but maybe I could get that from one of those big brass block - I've never tried one. Best thing is the guitar stays in tune and it looks bitchen'!!!

Unless of course you want to sell me yours!!!

What pup rings did you use BTW? They look like Seymour Duncan Trembuckers in cream with dimarzios/duncans or are they just Dimarzio shorts in cream?
The blue guitar has a ring that Curt from Squid Music had at his shop and a Duncan Custom Custom in double creme that you can't get anymore (the double creme under a chrome pickup cover which you remove doesn't work with Duncan anymore). The white guitar has an aged Dimazrio Super Distortion bridge and an aged Dimarzio Humbucker from Hell in the neck. Pickup rings are aged and came with the guitar...

I prefer Floyds by a pretty good margin, but I don't mind Kahlers either. You can get some unique stuff outta them if you ask me. I don't get why so many people hate 'em???

I couldn't agree more - it HAD to be done!

And that turned out awesome. Both of those are just killer. Squid Music hooked me up with my Jap Promod in candy blue, and they gave it the retro mod, I think is what they call it. Brass strap buttons and knob, and zebra SDs. Same pups as stock, 59 and JB, still direct mounted, but have dummy creme rings. Those guys were great to work with and as much as I love mine, I'm so jealous of yours!

Just to be clear, I didn't do that Floyd job - Joel at Grant Guitars in Fountain Valley, CA did it - great guitar guy - best around!

That's for sure. I wish I could remember the name of the tech who also worked on my guitar. They emailed HD pics every step of the way and made sure I approved and agreed with everything they did. If and when I ever buy another Charvel, I know where I'll shop.

                              Enjoy those beauties bro!

Much better with the Floyd. Nothing like a single hum Floyd with a maple neck. I'm in.
