Just got my new 2010 Candy Tangerine San Dimas and love it. I installed a 42mm brass block in the Floyd. great improvement.

can i ask does the big block upgrade really make a audible difference? i was concerned it may be hype?

The necks on the demartini's are true to the original San dimas neck shape. However it should be noted that I have gotten used to it. But my old style ones neck did feel a bit more natural to me.

i much prefer the original SD neck shape, i didn't think my promod had that old charvel neck feel. i thought it was missing the flat spot on the back of the neck which is one of the main reasons i love the old SDs.

you too? i know exactly what you mean! My old USA san dimas from 81 has a amazing neck, charvel called it the G1 shape. very thin from front to back and flat
the pro mod necks i heard were copied from this one san dimas that everyone at charvel liked? i know charvel had many neck sizes from chunky to wizard thin
my san dimas is wizard thin and i am glad it is,fits like a glove. I got offered a really good price for it but i aint never selling her!

I found it to be, mine was thin sounding with the JB and original block. I now have more low end and less sizzle, can't go wrong for the money.

I also just scored my first Chavel San Dimas just a few seeks ago, and love the feel of the guitar. I got the Candy Tangerine. very cool color. I saw someone selling a very cool Charvel clone of the Warren Snake skin guitar.

I installed a 42mm Floyd block on my San Dimas and found I hear more of a diffrence when playing clean. I does add more sustain also.
