Cool Guitar. I was tempted as well. Good to see the new owner enjoying it.

Sweet score! I had a hankering for a JEL strat so I built one inspired by this one. What's the bridge pickup in there?

The original bridge pickups were Custom Customs, actually; the WO called for a Custom, but they chose to ignore that. I swapped the CC out of mine with a Custom (of course). IIRC from the auction, this guitar has a JB in it.

how deeee-licious. i had a GMW one with a San Dimas plate on the back of it. The fretboard
looks awfully dark, almost like ebony, nice acquirement man, happy for you.

I think these are ebony Tommy. In order to get around the "artist similar" limitations.

I believe that, it looks like it to me, my GMW was rosewood. In the end, I'm a maple guy, i don't like rosewood, and i don't like
ebony. It's not that i don't like them, i just played better and got the sound i wanted with maple necks, just my preference that's all.

Yeah, Tommy - this one is ebony although some in the run were rosewood. Personally, I dig ebony!

Ebony is cozy to play, i definitely like it much better than rosewood. are those 6100's on there?
When i start playing again, my next guitars frets are going to be the size of rebar that resides in the cement of a major bridge- lol
I love mondo frets, it's the only way to play.
Steevo, are you playing out right now or just jamming at home?

Really? Hadn't heard that one. Where did that info come from? BTW, I've got a copy of the original WO if you don't have it and would like one.

I got the info from the Charvel USA log on this site. It says that 7837 has a rosewood fretboards. Maybe it's wrong.

Would love a copy of the WO! PM'd

Email sent. As far as the RW board stuff goes, I highly doubt it; the original order was for ebony boards. That was one of the changes made to try to avoid the "artist similar" rule that this run was obviously plagued by.
