Gear page is just as bad as the les paul forum and my les paul forum notice I didn't use capital letters.
Joined Gear Page ages ago to try and find some parts and I was blasted for even asking for Jackson and Charvel parts.
They told me son when you get a good guitar you can come play with the big boys.
I went on a rant right on the spot and told the guy to FO turns out he was a mod and challenged me again so I told him FO again.
It got ugly I can say that, but bash my favorite guitar brand and make fun of me?
I think not.And I got satisfaction for pissing off a mod.
Funny thing a few months later a member there emailed me looking foe Gibson parts and I told him to FO too.

Glad to see Guthrie on board.

There`s always been an air of snobbery about Suhr.. usually miserable rich fusion technical shred guitarists who sit down to play and compare quilt tops with each other haha
I`ve been into Charvel since 84.. and got into Suhrs around 2009. Dont get me wrong, I love my 2 Suhrs ( very beautiful guitars.. almost too clinical and perfect) but my Charvels feel like my old friends.

Charvels have a rock and roll attitude about them.. I hope it rubs off on his playing.

Great news for Charvel. Guthrie is amazing.
Have you guys ever seen his video playing the fretless Suhr? Its insane. Search for it on Youtube.
Guthrie is going to bring higher level technical players over to Charvel but there is something you need to keep in mind.
Guthrie could play any decent guitar through any decent amp and make them sound amazing.

Haven't seen a fretless Suhr, but here he's playing a fretless Vigier.

Guys in all my Steve Steven's research, first Washburn/Hamer related and recently Charvel related, I must say that John Suhr was the most candid of all those I spoke with.
Secret or not there is no love lost between Charvel and say GMW, also Suhr for some strange reason.
John Suhr is very honest and was helpful to me as he could be.
I must keep some things to myself of course.
Too bad that Fender Custom Shop isn't involved with helping out Jackson/Charvel Custom Shop. Fender's shop has a long wait but nothing like Jackson/Charvel??
Music Zoo move so many guitars that Tommy there can get special runs made in a reasonable amount of time, but there are reasons behind the scenes why it's the way it is.
FMIC/Jackson/Charvel want to sell new guitars all day of course, but with such a rich history, they are in my opinion ignoring their rich past with the exception of the past Legacy series...
John Suhr will pretty much build what a guitarist wants, but the guitars don't excite me in any way.
John told me he has a neck digitizer that cost $20K and even offered use of it to me.
I have nothing but good to say about John.
Grover is a good guy too.
If Guthrie wants to use Charvel's more power to him.Aesthetically Charvel Strat heads appeal to me more than say a Suhr Modern, but that's my choice.
A great player chooses what suits him the best at a certain time, we don't know the whole background story, but if it is at all like many of those from the eighties and nineties that I uncovered then it it may have it's roots in something we will never know..

Xeno if you like the GP and can find some use for it thats a good thing but beware and keep your opinions to yourself when it comes to pointy guitars that say Jackson on them.

Xeno will fit right in then. He can go on CS rants there too and get a lot more people yelling "Right on brother!"

Remember if you post on GP, you must start your thread with "School me on...."

Sssh! I don't want someone there to come over here and read I just went over to troll them, even though there could be some level of truth to that.

I'm a hardcore Jackson fanboi, I can hold my own. I have a few nice guitars, but I'd still rather own a CS Jackson than anything else.

EDIT: But I'll have to admit, for the first time I understand what Sugi Gakki and LACS does for Ibanez. That high end shit they can make is pretty fucking amazing.

Dude, I'm not sure Mike would appreciate his business card and contact info being posted (and copied) all over the internet. You might want to consider pulling that.
