Just got an email back from Dan Lawrence - not nearly as scary as I thought. I think I'm sending my Model 1 Charvel in for a Rising Sun on black!
Cool! Dan is a great guy and got my guitar done FAST!

Yes, I still have the powder blue! Check out my other thread in this forum - it has a couple pics of my complete Custom Shop collection...

Yeah - I originally had the Holdsworth you sold me in there, but I didn't bond with it and took it out. I now have a Dimarzio Super Distortion in there which seems to be my pickup of choice.

If you want that Holdsworth back, I'd be happy to sell it back to you for what I paid you for it... PM me or [email protected]

oh yeah been diggin that old super d myself, they sound real VH in a charvel for some reason. bad name though. too misleading it is not a fire breathing output monster but a nice classic rock paf on roids type tone.
a guy named rockstah used the super d on his VH clips and sounded dead on.
I will shoot you a email about the holdsworth pup

Man that is a nice looking guitar. Dan is a great painter and for me, it's great he did the work on it. There are only a handful of painters out there to can really do the work that we want.

                  Great thread!

Just got done adjusting the neck relief on my san dimas and found myself wishing it had the
truss rod adjustment wheel at the heel of the neck like this JD charvel!
even though it is not vintage correct i would much rather have this wheel every time i have to do a neck adjustment on my charvels!
