Here is a picture of the assembled Moore guitars form the 1985 Run For Cover tour program, I posted a closeup of the twp Charvel's but this shows all the guitars, including the K.K.Downing Hamer Flying V that was mentioned by the previous poster:
Thanks for reading, hope I was comprehensive enough!! I have tons of writing available about the equipment of Gary, Yngwie and Steve Stevens as well!

You guys are welcome, I have made an exciting new connection within the Gary Moore world, Gary's personal assistant/body guard, no not Kato from Green Hornet..lol and this is leading me to Gary's guitar tech from 1990 till the end. Graham Lilley.
Recently some friends sent me an Ebay link with a Gary Moore Red Charvel replica.
I told him to pass as it wasn't anywhere close factually, then another internet contact I know ended up buying it..small world.
First the differences
1) Obviously a MIJ neck hence the blue Charvel logo
2) Wrong type and positioning of volume knob, the original is farther away and is a black anodized knurled stack type knob.
3) This guitars body is rear loaded and both of Gary's Charvel Strat's have front loading controls, ect.
4) The pickup is an EMG-X, not the original EMG 85 or 81
5) I think the neck profile is incorrect especially the cut of the headstock on the back leading to the neck, too angular.
6) Top mount Floyd R2 nut (actually a modern improvement)
This is a replica in the broadest sense, so the reserve has been lifted so to speak.
Here are some pics that were emailed to me.
So in the spirit of the thing Stew the new owner likes the way it plays, ect. so for the purist it isn't close at all, but a good sounding and looking guitar.
For me the original white Charvel is the one with it's Strat volume knob and it's ideal positioning.
For example during the famous April 1987 Isstadion, Stockholm,Sweden filmed concert, Gary uses the red Charvel through the whole set only switching to the white one for the final song, the extended version of The Loner
this shows how handy the volume knob placement is, though Gary has volume pedals on stage he uses the guitars control also the Floyd work on this tune is like a lesson in locked bridge guitar playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hev6kepSq4 this version from the Boston gig displays his delay setting at the very start...
A killer acoustic cover of the song:
A tribute to Gary Moore by me..."The Loner" from -Wild frontier- album (1987) in a double acoustic cover version, played by Panos P. (Guitarist of Noely Rayn...
Hard to find the original better quality and longer version, track is over 15 minutes long! This one is poor quality copy of a copy..
If you haven't seen this before it's a classic Gary and band on a British childrens TV show:
There's loads wrong with the Japanese replica, but when I do my replica it will be spot on I can assure you. I want to do the white one, the red guitar though great sounding doesn't float my boat like the white/maple board version
Here are some moore pics from 1987, including some form the Ritz live: /
Emerald - thanks for the pics from the Ritz in 87'. Holy shit!!!! I was at that show. I remember quitting a summer job and leaving a $500.00 bonus on the table to leave Connecticut and take a train up to NY to see that show with my high school buddies. Gary Moore was definitely ON that night. God damn that guy could play. Thanks for the little walk down memory lane.
