Ok this must be it. Its via Charvel twitter feed, ad for Japanese guitar magazine(s). I don't know if this is for Japanese market only or not.
Says its made in USA, pearl button machine head, 1pc q-sawn maple neck, compound R rosewood FB, Duncan JB and DiMarzio DP111, black base plate/chrome saddle bridge, matching head pearl white color and the catalog price is ... oh yeah, 380,000yen.
Yen/doller rate is kinda bumpy lately but its almost like 4,000USD.'94 Grover Jackson Soloist Standard (EMG60/81)
'94 Grover Jackson Soloist Custom (J-50BC/50BC + JE-1200 midboost)
'91 Grover Jackson Dinky AXE HSH (J-50BC/J-100XL/J-80C)

I dunno,
I'm not getting this MSRP at all. These prices continue to blow me away. I mean come on people! We are taking about a bolt on Strat with a slightly modded pickguard. I mean seriously, there is not even a Floyd to bring the price up.
How the hell do you justify nearly 3K street price for that?
I know many of you will laugh when I say that Warmoth and a decent luthier can make a BETTER copy for around a grand. Factor in Fender/Jackson's mass production lower costs and I for one am stumped!
I had a hardtail USA Strat in the late 90's and with the addition of a few pickups and a custom pickguard, it was my Lee copy for waaay less!
Sorry for the rant!

Warmoth maple/rosewood neck with corian nut and painted headstock - $307 (likely more to have a bullet trussrod version built...Warmoth doesn't offer this)
Gotoh Tuners w/pearl buttons - $50
Black pickguard - $25 (more for slanted singles...Warmoth doesn't do this)
Duncan JB - $78
2xDimarzio SDS-1 - $100
Gotoh Fixed bridge - $50
G&G hardshell case - $150
That brings us to $1045 before we add a volume pot, input jack, 5-way switch, strap buttons, string tree, and strings.
Now we pay have to pay the luthier that you mentioned to put it all together, level/dress the frets, and set it up.
And at this point, we're missing the bullet truss rod and slanted single coils to make it a true replica.
I think anybody who would like to really build one of these true to form (and not "half ass" it) will be into it for closer to $1500.
I'm a big supporter of "rolling your own", but not because of the economics...it's not cheap unless you're dealing with second hand and/or inferior parts.
