NGD - '06 SD Reissue Desert Warbird

Just got my '06 SD Reissue back from Mike Learn and it's now a Desert Warbird with my son's initials and birth date on it. I also had him install a set of Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs, Schaller locking tuners and a black chrome plated V-trem. This guitar is an homage to a desert camo Jackson had back in the late 80s that I regretted selling years later. I think the new one is better than the old one. Enjoy.

The painted grates on the pickup covers look fantastic. Gives the graphic a 3D feel and makes the pickup rings look like they mounting actual air vents.

I've got them in both my Les Pauls, my Snakeskin Charvel, and one of my Ibanez PGMs. I love 'em. They're not high gain by means by they're versatile which is what I like. I normally run a Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra, so I have plenty of tone shaping with it but they also sound good through my little Marshall practice amp too.

Thanks. When I working out the design elements, the grated pickup covers were one constant that I stuck with through all iterations.
