    Vikktim playing San Dimas Charvels and Jacksons in their 1988 video

    This video resurfaced lately showing german metal/schlager act Vikktim performing their one and only superhit "Fight In The Night". Sadly they proved completely unsuccessful but they're obviously trying to get their act together again as you can see on german "Krude TV". Some Studio action there with some nice gear in the background.
    In the Video they play some nice San Dimas Jacksons and a Charvel Bass and I could even make out some old Rockingers. Since I know the singer quite well I know there's always been a constant debate about wether there's too much keyboards in there to be real metal. Judge for yourself and enjoy the remarkably simple lyrics, they just didn't know how to do better. They're german.

      wow. that was CORNY!!! are they a joke band, like steel panther?!?!?
      GEAR:

      some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

      some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

      and finally....

      i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

        I'm not sure if they like to think of themselves as a joke band but in some way they certainly are.

          There is no way there isn't a parody video... the 80's just weren't THAT bad.

                As I happen to know the singer I'll tell him about the Micheal Bolton/Mike Tramp thing. I think he'll be really flattered.
                Looks like Jeff Beck helped out on Keyboards. What a solo!

                        I made it 32 seconds into the video before cutting it off. The 80s really were that bad.
