I know it's hard to go back and watch the video once more but according to Andi (the singer) the guitars are indeed both Jackson Strats. One is painted platinum pink as he recalls and the other one has this cow pattern and an upside down logo on the headstock. The other guitars are german Rockingers fom Hannover, quite popular in the 80ies over here. They offered replacement parts, DIY-kits and also full custom shop made guitars. The red strat was actually the guitar of Tommy Newton, guitarist of german metal band Victory. He recorded the two first albums with it. The bassist is playing a San dimas Charvel Bass.

Confession. As you will have figured out Vikktim has indeed been founded recently. Their try of a comeback is actually part of a TV comedy show called "Krude TV" on german television. The most embarrassing part of the confession: The singer is me. But in a way I was forced to do it because nobody else would volunteer.
We were allowed to create a whole comedy programme consisting of several different parts loosely webbed together. And one of these parts is the mockumentary about Vikktim. We produced all this on a very tight budget so bare with me if things look a little homemade. The side effect with this band is that it allows me to get some of my guitars on TV. Everytime I buy a guitar I write them off taxwise and now the tax authorities have the proof that I need them all to create Vikktim.
The hardest part was that we had to constantly stop recording/shooting because one of us would burst into loughter again.

There has always been a constant debate in the band wether there's too much keyboards in the music or not. The Keyboarder happens to be the Producer of the band. Obviously he's not that much into guitars.
In fact the guitar tracks were recorded with some virtual plug in thing. I can't recall which because I usually don't use that stuff. The guitar we used was my beloved Charvel mutt consisting of an '83 top routed San Dimas body that had been kahlered. The top routings had been extended by some villain but all is covered up by the pickguard that carries a Duncan JB that sounds like no other. Just awesome. I installed an old Charvel brass trem and just left the Kahler routing as it was. Neck is a one piece Musikraft. I just threw that thing together once and it turned out to be one of my main players right from the start. I think we also used a '86 Baretta.
