I love Kalers and its pretty normal for that era its going to stay the way it is no mods or new paint.

Oh yeah! Don't the pups and pup routes need to be the non-flanged variety to be considered a 3-TITE though? It's badass either way. How bad off are the frets?

Frets have been leveled so should be good for a few years before a refret.
Not sure about the pick up route tite thing you may be right IDK I always called them that even with that route.

Gotcha, sorry for spewing disinformation. I guess 3-TITE really just means rear-loaded single coils. That being said, my non-flanged 3-TITE has the pups "tucked in a little tighter" than yours.

Love the color! And the Kahler is fine since there are no humbuckers - seems like the anti-shredder Charvel! Strange how they left a string tree on there - was the kahler added on afterwards?

Yes it originally was a V trem but the mod had to have been done very early because the Kahler is a pre production unit according to Kahler.
The early Kahlers had no markings on them because they hadn't gone into official production.
