This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

      I've never heard of a SD5 model. SD 1, 2, 3, 4... yes, but a SD 5???

Hmm this throws a wrench as this neck matches the SD III but its 22 fret and its quilt maple/birdseye with a pauferro board and the ballzak headstock. it has SD5 written on the heel too.

This is why they should put serial #'s on necks as well as bodies when a guitar isn't neck through. It would take so much confusion out of the whole equation.

IIRC, the only 22 fret'rs were the Traditional model. Looked like a Strat - 3 SCs, pickguard, 2 point trem and all. Great guitars, I've owned a few through the years.

Those were quartersawn maple necks (plain, not birdseye) - a few were made maple/maple, but the vast majority were rosewood boards. Should've had Sperzel locking tuners, too.
