  • Lowering the action on a San Dimas

Hi, sorry if this is a simple and rather stupid question, I just want to check before I mess anything up...

I've got a 2009 San Dimas Model 1. Is lowering the action as simple as turning the two large screws on the Floyd? Don't know much about Floyds and I can't see any other options on the bridge. Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks a lot for any replies.

Just don`t do it with the springs on. Is going to damage the blades and you can say good bye to bridge stability.

You hear something new every day. LOL

Just turn the posts, it'll be perfectly fine. You might want to go in small increments, like quarter turns, to get the right height that feels comfortable to you without overdoing it and getting string buzz, etc

This belongs in the "TECH Q&A SECTION" just to let you know If you adjust the action frequently with string and spring tension on the bridge it can wear on the knife edges of the trem but if it's a one time thing like Shreddermon said it'll be fine just turn the bridge screws in small amounts.

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.
