  • is it worth the hassle? modified 475 deluxe

I know nothing of Charvel... Other than my desolation, but that doesn't count. Lol

    so when i see this

and i watch him start at 600 until now he is at 250.
And i see some of the conversations about the last charvels were Jacksons with a different label. Or how some charvels were labelled Jackson because of a label shortage...

I am just curious about this guitar and if i should pick it up or not.
I can certainly use a case and some parts and could sell the rest if i hated it. Right?

A 475 is a Japanese import from the '89 - '91 time frame. The pictured guitar looks to be a mutt with a neck from either a 275 or 375. 475 had sharkfin inlays. Not sure on the body with the three switches instead of a 5-way switch. I'm pretty sure the discussion you're talking about, where some guitars had Charvel plates & Jackson - logoed headstocks is about USA Charvels and Jacksons from the late '85 through '86 time frame.

He's giving you the guitar and 3 other pick-ups for $250. I don't see how can you lose. Plus he's got it loaded with DiMarzio's as well. I think it's a pretty good deal. I'd go for it even if it is a mutt.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

It's a mutt but well worth the price in parts.

I would believe you, if it was left handed.

I am glad you caught the sarcasm instead of getting pissed at me.
