Getting a 1hb limits it to rock. Put in the hottest pickup you can find. Clean sound be damned.

Sounds like you're CS is what I'm building at home right now. I took a M3 body, filled the two single routes and tone hole. Going to paint it a blue metal flake. Have a brand new MIJ SoCal neck going on there. Was going to drop a SuperD in there as well, color TBD. Volume only. Chrome non-recessed OFR and hardware.

I've got lots of guitars with other pickup setups if I need variety. I'm building this to intentionally be a one trick pony!!
Looking at your gear listing, you've got options all over too! Go for the one hum!!

you can always opt for a neck pickup flush mounted to the face of the guitar and have it covered with a VERY thin veneer then finished however you want.

I don't think that would work very well.

I never use the neck pick ups, well very rarely.

& there is your answer....& 1-hum = coolness too so....there ya go!!

Do custom shop charvels have the the custom shop decal? Can the "custom shop" decal be left off?
