wow I like that natural look too! As for a paint job I like the added white as well. Could you explain the process to us as far as using flame to remove the paint? Seems like that would work much better than paint stripper/sanding... Great Job BTW!

Sure,
Just hold the flame against the paint, it will bubble up and get rubbery, let cool a few seconds, but not too long because it will reattach to the guitar and peel off. I found holding the guitar up and the flame underneath so air could get into the bubble and keep the paint from reattaching worked well. It was a little tedious because it was little spots at a time. I had a few disposable lighters as well and rotated so they didn't get too hot. After doing a descent sized area, then I'd get the steel wool and remove the residue. It made a mess, but worked. After the guitar was done, I washed my hands really good and went over the guitar with clean steel wool a few times. I did the whole guitar with 2 disposable Bics and 3 pads of steel wool.I DESPISE ROSEWOOD WITH A PASSION!!!

Uh-huh! I've latelt been thinking of a Bumblebee with black base and slime green stripes! Sadly (not really) I was looking through the Swedish ebay and saw that a guitar store maybe eight hours away where they have real funny accents, there was a so-called "nattrea", literal translation "night sale" and they were letting an EVH Striped Series Bumblebee go for 2/7 (count that one out haha) of the retailing price! Cheaper than second hand!
Real cool how that lighter technique works, also I did much prefer the guitar in natural, three piece or not.
Have fun!

Uh-huh!
I counted it out exactly how much it cost me in USD and it was 241 dollars NEW including shipping.
No one had bought it cause:
1. It had a VH finish, either you love it or hate it.
2. It had a VH finish, either you love him or hate him!
3. The Floyd was not set up (d-tuna is krezy) and the neck had shrunk so them frets be sharp! Trying to fix it but I don't have the neccessary tools so it'll take a couple of movies with some sandpaper.
Surprise flame on the quartersawn neck. It plays great apart from the sharp fret ends. Its got what I've noticed on almost every Mexico Charvel/EVH: Whenever I bend it feels like there's something that scratches with the strings on the frets. Anyone experienced that before?
Anyone know what's the deal with the guitar's heel? I wanna see if I can swap out the neck for a Charvel neck?
