    Back and Improved !

Put a real Schaller R3 Floyd Rose nut on it, moved the regular spaced Duncan bridge pickup to the neck and moved the neck F-Spaced Super Distortion to the bridge. We tried to put a regular Floyd Rose Original on it and quickly found out why Michael Charvel used the Schaller model. The Schaller baseblate is significantly longer(front/back) than the baseplate on an Original Floyd. The vintage trem route is far enough back that an Original Floyd looks weird with the baseplate not being long enough and not covering up the vintage trem route hole. The Schaller trem covers up the hole with it's longer(front/back) baseplate.

When moving the pickups around, we found to our surprise that the pickup rings are some really cool anodized aluminum. I've never seen pickup rings like this. In all, a major improvement, looks better, functions better and sounds better.

Those pickup rings sound like something Dave (Budman) would have made.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were from him.

Here's the aluminum pickup rings. You don't notice anything special about them until you really start looking at them closely and tap on them.
