LOL ! It's the original "DDJ" Duncan Distortion. Did Seymour Duncan have F-spaced pickups in 1984-early 85?

I think it's cool as hell! He did a really nice job on the graphic. Almost definitely a v-trem conversion, but that's no biggie at all, imo.

Congrats on the score, ya beat me to it by a few seconds, lol

I'd give Michael a call, send him a picture, he might know a lot more about it.
That locking nut looks like an old "Bill Edwards" unit.

                Enjoy that guitar!

Just got it in. This thing is amazing. When it popped up on eBay, I though "hmmm, that's kind of cool" but it's way cooler in person. The graphic is very detailed and intricate. I had always read that Michael Charvel did nice finish work but this is the first I've seen in person. It really is amazing. In fact, the whole guitar is basically in mint condition. The paint and body are like brand spanking new, not a mark on it anywhere, it's perfect. The neck plays great, no fretwear so it was either rarely played or Michael Charvel dressed the frets. The back of that neck has that super smooth, oiled, worked in feel that is just awesome. The Schaller trem has the trem posts screwed into the same type of metal trem post anchors that Jackson was using in the mid-late 80's. If it wasn't for the flip-tap string lock on the headstock, I would sware it was originally a Floyd'd guitar. Michael must have filled the 6 vintage trem mounting screw holes and he did a perfect job. There is no evidence they were there at one time.

Glad it worked out and it's definitely worth the price, but whaaaaat's up with that eBay seller not disclosing the refin?
