A red So Cal with maple board is in my future so long as the price isn't too stupid.

For pricing, think about the same as a Jackson USA Adrian Smith model.

        Availability: Sept/Oct-ish.

LOL, better hang on to my red Pro-Mod So-Cal, even if it's Japanese. Didn't know they were in such demand.

Glad to see the whole run is entirely DiMarzio-loaded and not just the repetitive Duncan JB/'59 all the time.

Hmm, maybe I might go with this Charvel USA Custom Shop in the meantime?

                Few questions:

So about 1999.99 as a price?
Any idea what type of floyd it is from the pic?
Will the MIM's stay in the lineup?

                That purple is kinda sweet.

You think that much? Hopefully not, guess we'll find out in the next day or two?
Otherwise, might go for this instead -

I think it depends on the floyd.
I figure these have to be around the Fender American Elite line price wise.

Too low they eat into the pro-mods, too high they eat into the CS. Both of those are higher margin lines.

$1999 - That's what you see everyone listing their new USA Jackson Adrian Smith models for on EBay, right? That's called MAP - a minimum advertised price, as required by manufacturers. I wonder if you should be able to do a bit better than that price with a good dealer?

It's an "Original Floyd Rose". I suppose that might mean either the MIK or MIG version. Given the price and comparability to the AS model, though, I suspect it's the MIG Floyd.

And, yes, the MIM Charvels will remain. There's clearly enough of a price spread to allow for both, as well as different specs, colors, woods, etc.

BTW, for those of whom (like me) this might be important - the USA necks are quartersawn.

Oh yeah, should have mentioned that the price includes an SKB hardshell case.

Keep in mind the USA Pro-Mods had the Korean OFR, not the German one. Still, I can't tell the difference... but I'm mentally prepared for a Korean OFR to be on these new USA Select Series.

What's on the USA Adrian Smith and USA Warren DeMartini models? German or Korean OFR?
