It looked like an ad, in the wrong section, even if by a legitimate advertiser. So perhaps it was removed.

I'm sure it will either resurface in the right section or the information that it contained will otherwise be shared in another manner.

Matt deleted it, but no idea why. I got a copy, though.

Thanks for saving it. There was a mention of dual humbucker San Dimas and So-Cal models on another site but this spec sheet doesn't show them, besides the tele SD2. Wonder if those will come later?

So they're basically DOUBLE in price as to what they were 7 or 8 years ago ? Thanks Fender but no thanks, won't be buying.

In retrospect, those late-2000s USA Pro-Mods were underpriced when advertised at $1099. I bet USA Jackson Select Series' retail prices weren't as cheap as that (at the time). Such a good value on those USA Charvel guitars. Of course I only buy used, so this is irrelevant to me.

I'm glad Charvel is releasing American production guitars again though.

+1. There was huge bang for your buck with the old USA Pro Mods. Arguably, they were underpriced. They certainly were so as compared to comparable USA Jacksons at the time.

Now they're priced comparable to USA Jackson bolt-ons. IMHO, that's pretty fair value.

Hmm maybe I'll look into the USA So Cal production models instead of the new select ones. I just got a wild card #3 and love it. I'll have to check tonight online what colors came out for the USA so Cal's. Would love a so cal with a pickguard swap to HxS.

Thanks! Must be a sign lol. I like the purple and trans red ale. I'm assuming these will be hard to find...

No more difficult to find than your Wild Card #3. Easiest color to find would be plain gloss black, since I think it was a "Standard Color" that was available constantly, rather than a "Custom Color" which were offered in eight USA batches. Your Wild Card #3's Flat Black is different than the normal gloss black.

According to the below two "announcement ads", I'd assume that orange was also a Standard Color for the So-Cal and red was also a Standard Color for the San Dimas. And fuck me, I didn't realize those were $999 (instead of $1099 for the Custom Colors). Great value.

I think they were $999 at first, later raised to $1,099.

And, no, the candy tangerine and candy red were special colors only used for those models in those batches. Although those colors were also used on different models in later batches.

I paid $999 out the door for a first run So Cal when I was living in Alaska.

                              For $2,000- no way.

The 2016 price is in line with comparable USA models.

I keep thinking that this is why Charvel keeps struggling. People want USA builds, but don't want to pay USA prices.

So, FMIC keeps throwing these guitars out every 5-6 years only to have them sink in the market. Then they go away and people who are never going to buy them new are unhappy that they don't exist and FMIC thinks they see demand.

                                Rinse, repeat...
Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day, set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.
