  • What OFR for PRO-MOD SAN DIMAS STYLE 1?

I have a Charvel Pro Mod 2017 that has no Floyd. I have read that the Floyd these used is a Chinese or Korean FRT-O2000. I am guessing that the regular OFR will be a direct retrofit on the bridge, but Im not totally sure. Does anyone know which nut to make sure I get? R2, R3?

    Thanks!

To address your other concern, yes the regular/German-made OFR will be a direct retrofit for the Korean FRT-O2000.

But why would anyone want to? The FRT "Thousand Series" tremolos are made with the exact same dimensions and materials as the German OFRs. The only difference is country of manufacture. I can understand people wanting to replace a Floyd Rose Special (zinc alloy saddles, zinc alloy sustain block) with a true Floyd (steel saddles, brass sustain block), but a Thousand Series to OFR swap seems like a waste of money and a pointless exercise.

I own two Thousand Series Floyds on my American and Japanese Charvel So-Cals and I can't tell the difference from the OFR on my USA Jackson Soloist.
