    Another Neck Question - Neck ID help.....

    I just became the happy owner of Blood Splatter's No. 5454 parts mutt (thanks Chuck!). Original body, plate, internals, trem with S-head neck, Gotoh "vintage" style tuners and a nice Dimarzio.

    Anyway, the guy he got the guitar from told him that the neck was a Jackson replacement. He felt it was either as represented or possibly a GMW, which would be just fine with me (although it has a 2 1/4" heel to fit the body perfectly - which, while I know Lee can make anything - is not necessaily his standard these days).

    The neck itself is unmarked and has the hallmarks to some degree of a GMW neck, frets, radias (wide/flat), 25.5 scale, 12th fret dots spacing looks correct and the Floyd nut is mounted from the front and the mounting cut looks like my GMW.

    So, what other campanies/manufactures make necks to these (what I believe to be) San Dimas specs.

    Any Ideas?

    Maybe Warmouth makes a charvel strat replacement neck to spec?. I've seen plenty of them on EBay but I've never seen one in person. I almost bought, that did you get it yet? and how does she play? [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

      Yes, I took delivery Sat. and after some set up work and tweeking, it really smokes. I am very happy with it and Chuck is great to deal with.

        BTW the nut is 1 11/16ths.

          cool congrats on the score!L [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]ike I said earlier I was real close to going for that one , but as luck has it, I've stumbled across an 83 pointy head orange Bengal, with a maple board that I must have (and it looks like I'm finally going to get her). Not in mint shape but the neck plays like butter.
