I guess it is to each there own, i love my model 3 alot, the only thing i dont like are the pickups, i am getting ready to rip them out, who has suggestions for replacements? Just no active, i hate the whole battery thing.

Chuck, i have been really considering getting a newer model A Plus, the guitar looks sweet and i love the wood on those things.

Siggy, from what I've read around here the newer import Charvels like the Standard and the Model A are hit and miss. Some here have gotten some good ones and some have recieved them and immediately returned them. Your model 3 is a much better guitar than the newer import Charvels. Do a search in the Charvel import section and you'll see what I'm talking about.

You've got to get your hands on a a San Dimas to see what all the Hype is about. I've also got a model 6(1987) that is one of the best playing guitars I've ever had the good fortune to own.
