I suspect these guitars are new and those neck specs are wrong. Looks like they just copied and pasted the strathead Retros' neck dimensions, inc. the nut width.
Fritz said the Star he recently got has a nice thin neck, nothing like the 25th. And, except for the nut width, the neck dimensions for the 25th and the Retros were supposed to be the same. See:

The USA Standards are 1 & 11/16ths now. But I really wish J/C would post the full detailed neck dimensions on the Charvel web site, so we can be informed and dealers can get this stuff right. i.e., .xxx" at 3rd fret, .xxx" at 12th fret, like shown in the Jackson catalog and web site.
...This relates to a personal bone of contention, as I've been trying to get it right on a custom shop order. I've had it corrected something like three different times now and, last I saw the work order, it was STILL wrong. "Speed neck"? [img]/images/graemlins/refuse.gif[/img] This should be corrected now but, given the problems so far, I'm not entirely confident. [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
