Re: Cool Charvels

It appears for whatever reason you WANT to be banned. Not one of us has that intention on this site. So if you want so badly to be banned I guess you can ban yourself by not participating.

You obviously are a great wealth of knowledge and get a lot of great posts started, This for the most part is why you were picked to be a moderator. I mention this because this leads to your next part about power. You had that power on both this site and another but due to time constraints (this was your official response) on your site you decided to step down. I as well as the other admins were sorry to lose such a well versed, charvel oriented administrator as it is always nice having a person who can think with their head before hitting the post button.

With power on my end comes responsibilty. Responsibilty to the members of this board as well as the sponsorship that pays the bills to keep it online. If something impedes the flow of one or the other it needs to be dealt with. I can obviously see where this thread is leading and I'm letting everyone know ahead of time that if it gets out of hand this thread WILL be closed and moved.

If moving a thread that impedes the flow of the board is an abuse of the "great" admin power as you so eloquently put it then so be it, as this board and the manner in which it runs is more important than you or I are.

I thought it fair of me to issue a statement telling the members of the thread if it got out of hand that it would be moved so that no one can say they were deleted without prior knowledge...

Thank you for your question and your concern.. nice to see you participating again ...
Kevin

Re: Cool Charvels

I love to see pics of Charvels. I think all of the galleries that I've seen have been great & I would like to see more.

As for the fighting that goes on.......it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. There is no call for it. The very reason that I've been around these boards for a couple of years, but only started posting recently, is that I never wanted to get sucked into that crap.

I don't get it Trace posts links to non-JCF Galleries, Bret mentions other Galleries, Trace asks where the other Galleries are, and mentions one that may have private/limited access (i.e. non-public).
So where's the fire?
Was that a stab at the JCF Gallery going down?
Is the JCF Gallery going to "Pay-Per-View" or otherwise limited access?
That's the only thing that stands out to me as a possibility right off the bat

I don't understand it either. Then again I still have not figured out why crabs walk sideways.

Because that's the way their legs bend. Muscles work in pairs. A muscle can only retract, or pull; to lengthen again it must relax and be pulled back by another 'antagonistic' muscle. The muscle blocks in crabs are attached to the inner surface of the exoskeleton, including the ten tubular legs, including the legs with claws, or chelae, as well as other appendages. Crabs do not have ball-and-socket joints but the legs pivot at numerous peg-in-socket joints that are sealed by flexible chitin, and can move in one plane (similar to our knee). Each joint moves in a different plane, and so together they allow the crab to move in all directions like our shoulder and hip joints. However, many crabs have joints in their legs moving in a restricted number of planes so that they can only move sideways.

Whooooa - Patrick Cousteau? Now thats some good info...

You know how you kill crabs, don't you? Shave one side of your pubic hair, light the other side on fire, and then stab the crabs with toothpicks when they run out screaming.

Not speaking from experience, of course...but I've heard it works

Thank you txcharvel!!

This comes to show you that you will learn something new everyday. Wow, its been a long time and a lot of research and you show up with the answer.

Now, I'm left with a question and understanding of what happened here to begin with.

Re: Cool Charvels

I think the best thing someone with cool guitars can do is share them on the internet. I've tried to find every USA Jackson in Finland to upload them for the Finnish Jackson Palace. I know that there's a ton more of them hiding cause people don't want to share. Guitarists love guitar porn!
I would put San Dimas Charvels up too but there are none in Finland - yet.
I think Tracy, Robert, Bret, Brett, Jim etc. are doing a big favor to the J/C community by sharing their collections. Those are great sites and I visit them weekly!

I guess some of us will be in the dark on the direction of trouble. Cool guitars though. 50+ for Tracy alone. That is a healthy stock of cash tied up in some investments.
