Absolutely
The floyd and middle pup were added in '82 . The wood on this guitar is incredible .

Thanks !
It had a plastic trans red type veneer finish on it . Through the years it got chipped , especially around the floyd from allen wrench slippage . So I took the rest of it off to uncover that beautiful wood . After 7 years or so I had it clearcoated to protect the wood , which really brought out the flame in the wood . It seems to change at different angles .

Oh man, very nice Charvel.

I'd have to say that you have no worries gigging that guitar. If you've stripped the original finish that gives you a green like to grip it and rip it live.

It even looks like birdseye Maple with some quilt mixed.
Did you add the center pickup or it was like that when you got it?

dinkyjacksonman ,
I had the middle pup put in a few months after I bought it back in '82 . The floyd was added then also . I still have the original tail piece .
The birdseye is sick on this and the quilt is beautiful . The quilt is almost 3D .If you look at the guitar from an angle the quilt is outrageous .

That guitar is visual poetry.

That looks like spalted maple.
