• First-ever USA pointy?

Ok, I know the first production-model Charvel - #1001 - was a Strathead with Heinekin graphic, but what was the very first USA pointyhead production (not Custom Shop order) Charvel?

Point taken on the Custom Shop issue, so what was the first serialized pointyhead?

                Re: First-ever USA pointy?

Why? If it's not the first USA pointyhead, there's no point in posting a pic of it in this thread.

No matter what, we always enjoy new guitar porn. And it's a JCF rule, remember? You can't talk about a new guitar without posting pics.

IIRC, pointyhead Charvels came somewhere around late `82 or `83-ish. Looking at the gallery, it appears pointyheads start somewhere around the 1700s. Those might help you narrow down a serial # range.

1769 is the first Charvel guitar with a scarfed Jackson hs neck that I have seen. This bass does not have a scarf joint but rather a standard P-bass style, heel truss rod adjusted, but cut with a Jackon headstock. This bass is 1400 something or other.

I am sure there are earlier examples of guitars (than 1769) but at least we are closing in on it as more guitars (and basses) surface.
