• The new Charvels.

So I've heard a little about the new released Charvels. I know only a few have them, but whats the final word on these? Obviously they arn't the originals, but how close are they?

If you had the choice of throwing down ~900 for a old SD pointy, or a bit more for a new SD pointy, which would you chose?

I am also curious as to how the Charvel San Dimas looks and plays like with the Floyd. Jack.

I haven´t tried the new ones, but I personally would go for an old SD pointy over a new "reissue", regardless of what comes.

1. cheaper
2. after 20 years, the wood has settled, the chances of anything going awry are generally lower
3. more likely to rise in value and become a collectors item someday (My guitars are , seriously, part of my pension plan)
4. (most important) Why buy a copy when you can get teh original Cheaper?? That´s one of the main reasons I play Jacksons in teh first place and not ESPee or IBeenHad
