evh models are the evh pup
standard re-issue modes are the custom 5
and the retro and 25th ann. are the 78 model.

The '78 and the EVH are the same pickup, and the Custom 5 is damn close to it.

It could be the Duncan '78/EVH. Or it might mean something else entirely. The words seem similar to how Peavey describes the Wolfgang's PUs on their website: "2 humbucking pickups custom designed to Edward Van Halen's specifications." ...Not sure who makes those. And, I believe the early MMs had custom designed/wound Dimarzios, until EVH broke that deal.

So what exactly will be in the Charvel EVHs? [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

This was asked on the Duncan Forums a while back, the ´78 (Originally called the Evenly Voiced Harmonics = EVH) is in the 25 and the Retro, but the one in Eddies new axes is a custom wound Fender HB IIRC [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I figured "Custom Wound Fender HB" would be clear, Newc, considering as Fender DOES wind their own pickups [img]/images/graemlins/poke.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
